Advanced Manufacturing

The NIHR Sheffield BRC develops, tests and integrates new sensing functionality with inexpensive commercially available smart devices for wider patient-benefit. We have a proven track-record in the development and clinical testing of novel imaging sensors, implanted pressure monitors and electrodes, as well as a strategic partnership for hardware development with GE Healthcare, Devices for Dignity (D4D) MedTech Cooperative (MIC), and our world-leading Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC). This sub-theme interlinks closely with many of our other themes across the BRC.
