Parkinson's Legacy Awareness Day

Find out more about Parkinson's!

FREE EVENT FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN OR LIVING WITH PARKINSON'S

WHO?

The Sheffield Support Group of Parkinson’s UK are collaborating with the University of Sheffield and NIHR Sheffield BRC to host the Awareness raising event.

As with the event held last October, this year’s programme is for people who already know about the Sheffield Group but want to know more about the latest research, for people who have not yet made contact with our group, as well as for professionals and interested parties who work with people with Parkinson’s.

WHAT?

The Sheffield Support Group of Parkinson’s UK was left a large legacy which is being used to fund a succession of annual awareness raising days. The information provided on the day aims to give people interested in knowing about Parkinson’s insight into the latest research, and an opportunity to meet others intent on staying as well as possible with the condition.

The programme is run as a combination of talks, of exercise tasting sessions and time to meet and chat with others affected by Parkinson’s. Whether you attend in the morning or afternoon each half-day programme will end with some singing to have some fun whilst working on the voice.
