About the NIHR Sheffield Clinical Research Facility

The Clinical Research Facility (CRF) is funded by the NIHR to accelerate the delivery of experimental medicine clinical research and enable the faster translation of scientific discovery into patient benefit. The CRF provides access to NHS patients and healthy volunteers in a dedicated, specialist environment within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.

Open to researchers from all clinical disciplines, the CRF are experienced in undertaking all types of commercial and academic sponsored clinical research; from first in man studies to late phase and observational studies.

Sheffield CRF can accommodate all types of visits, including overnight stays and have worked with most directorates within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
